What is the difference between long-term rentals and short-term rentals of properties?

Under Spanish law you may rent an apartment, flat or house as a first residence ( Where you live) or you may rent it as a vacation residence. (Where you stay during your holidays) The vacation rentals are controlled and legislated in Catalunya by the Department of Tourism. We specialize in Barcelona apartment vacation rentals legislated under the category of Tourist apartments.

If a person wishes to rent an apartment as if it was a hotel then the property must be authorized by the government for such purposes and also the apartments have to be managed by a company authorized for that specific purpose.
